The Neckerchief (Foular)

The Foular, or neckerchief, is a triangular bandana worn around a scout’s neck that symbolizes their dedication to scouting and willingness to uphold the Scout Law and Promise. Foulars come in a variety of colors depending on which group a scout belongs to. A scout can earn their foular at the Award Ceremony held at the end of each summer scouts’ camp by giving their yertoom, or oath, in Armenian.

Deebar

Deebar awards recognize strong character in a scout and are awarded to scouts who stand out among their peers. Each scout groups' leader chooses a deebar for going the extra mile, unprompted, and for exemplifying what it means to be a scout. Deebar awards may be given at every Award Ceremony. There is usually one deebar per age group.
